Grounds and Gardens Amenities
At FoxRun we have the luxury of space – lots of it! Our three storey residence sits on 100 acres where years ago a hard working farmer tilled the land. To the East is Legges Creek which winds its way along the perimeter of our property. It is home to geese, ducks, and beavers that provide lots of entertainment for our residents. To the North and West are open fields where deer, fox and raccoons are sited regularly. To the South are the 1000 Islands Parkway and the St. Lawrence River – we have great views of passing marine traffic as well as gulls and geese all busily on their way somewhere!
We have lovely walkways on our grounds as well as the Parkway with their paved path for safe strolls that take you as far as you care to go. We are flower lovers here and each year we are adding to our gardens. At the north end we have a spacious patio and covered gazebo for reading or socializing. On the south end we have another sheltered patio outside of the dining room. But the favoured place to sit is the front overlooking the river where residents love to gather in the nice weather.
For any fishermen we have a dock that is equipped with a railing and a bench. You are welcome to drop a line if you wish – we can always cook up your catch for dinner! People come from all over to fish our creek – it has a great reputation in our area.
